Fight "burnout"

with a fork!

Homme au bureau

"Eighteen percent of European employees say they suffer from stress on a daily basis at work, according to the opinion survey" The Workforce View in Europe 2018 ", released in March 2019 by the private human resources firm ADP (Automatic Data Processing) This figure is up 5% compared to the 2017 edition of this survey. The most stressed are British workers (57%), followed by th Spaniards  (37%) and the Germans who share 3rd place with the French (30%). The Dutch seem to be the least subject to stress since only one in 10 employees say they feel it on a daily basis. "

"Nearly one in four Belgian employees (24%) say they are sometimes, or never, able to manage work-related stress in a healthy way, according to a survey by "Mensura external prevention and protection service at work." As stated by this study, around 63% of employees are more likely to take sick leave due to burnout. In addition, exhausted employees are 2.6 times more likely to leave their current employer. Burnout contributes to high staff turnover, ranging from 20% to more than 50% depending on the organization, according to a study of human resources professionals.

In life, when it comes to health, a good strategy is to avoid that the causes of stress do not create further damage leading to the deterioration of one's general health. Easy to say !

Employees who eat ready meals, processed foods, low fat or even refined carbohydrates are generally more vulnerable to stress. An unbalanced diet puts the body under stress as it tries to make up for missing nutrients.

Combine this unhealthy diet with a sedentary lifestyle, and your employees are not only unhealthy but they also feel down. Stress is not a state of mind. It is important to find out what is hiding behind this condition.

We are now able to measure stress-related biomarkers and help you via a physiological approach that consists of optimizing nutritional and micro-nutritional deficiencies but also by treating the underlying chronique inflammation and taking care of your intestinal microbiota. "Yesterday only the strong survived, tomorrow only the wisest will remain."

I offer one or two hour "lunch and learn" sessions, organized at the workplace. The group format is the perfect way to start transmitting educational information about stress and its physiological approach. I will be happy to prepare a nutrition program adapted to your team through collective and / or individualized nutrition sessions.

Depending on the size and unique needs of your business, most programs can combine the group format with personalized services. You will be able to promote and foster a healthy work environment and become a champion of the well-being of your employees. Remember that for each of us the weapon of choice is the fork!
